Jacob Turley, CPA CFP®
Certified Financial PlannerTM and Certified Public Accountant
I am originally from Utah where I grew up in a couple of small farming towns and later in Salt Lake City. I graduated from Taylorsville High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah in 2011. Next, I received a Master of Taxation from Weber State University in 2012. While at the University of Utah I met the love of my life Mindy. We met at the University of Utah in January of 2008 and we were married later that year. Once we finished our degrees in accounting, we moved to Montana and started at American Financial Services, Inc. Since being out of school I’ve continued my education by completing my CPA, Series 63 Uniform Securities State Law Examination, Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam and CFP® Certification Exam.
In college, I became intrigued by the financial world and decided to make a career of it. My favorite part of financial services is helping people see that they can retire with dignity and comfort, and that it can be pursued with small tax-smart steps. I enjoy teaching and helping others and I love to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
A little more about me… When I am not working, I am probably spending time with my family, playing/watching sports, serving others or trying to catch up on sleep. My wife has blessed me with two boys and two girls and my family is my greatest joy in life; they bring me worries, sleepless nights and lots of fun, but most of all joy! I also love to play basketball, golf and just about anything that is competitive. Another important part of my life has been music. I’ve been in choirs for as long as I remember and even toured Europe with the University of Utah Singers and more recently have helped raise money for Flathead High School through an acapella group name "Those Guys."
